The 8-layer build
Eight Layers. One Platform.
Every Peak 8 sole is built from the same eight layers, bottom to top. We change the tuning for each terrain, but the order stays the same.
A breathable knit and mesh upper that wraps the foot without adding bulk.
A moulded insole that cups the heel and supports the arch.
The fabric base the upper is stitched to before the sole is bonded on.
Our softest, bounciest foam. This is where the energy comes back.
A thin propulsion plate that stores and releases energy through toe-off.
A firmer foam layer that keeps the ride stable under load.
Terrain-specific traction, deeper and wider-spaced for trail and alpine builds.
A high-abrasion rubber compound on every outsole, road to alpine.
